ARE THERE ACCESSORIES AVAILABLE FOR SUNCAST PRODUCTS?
Yes, Suncast has accessories for Storage Buildings and Garden Sheds. They include shelves, baskets, hooks, and brackets. See Suncast Accessories here.
CAN SUNCAST RESIN BUILDINGS, SHEDS, AND OTHER PRODUCTS BE PAINTED?
No. Some manufacturers state their paint can be used on plastic. These are not appropriate for Suncast products.
CAN SUNCAST WOOD BUILDINGS, SHEDS, AND OTHER PRODUCTS BE FINISHED?
Yes. Stains, polyurethane, or other wood finishes can be used for decorative reasons. Select and apply the product according to manufacturer’s directions.
CAN I MODIFY MY SHED, BUILDING, OR GAZEBO TO ACCOMMODATE LIGHTING, VENTILATION OR SIMILAR FEATURES?
If you elect to modify Suncast products in any way, it is at your own risk. Damage to parts or the entire unit will not be covered under the Suncast warranty.
DO EXTREME TEMPERATURES AFFECT THE PLASTIC USED IN SUNCAST PRODUCTS?
Suncast products function well in a wide range of temperatures normally found in the United States and Canada. This is due to the plastic selected and the structural features in the product. In normal use, temperature variations will not affect the durability or function of Suncast products.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY SUNCAST PRODUCT?
All-purpose cleaners such as 409, Fantastic or Simple Green are perfect for cleaning our products. A soft bristle brush may also be used. Power washers may be used. Adjust the power so it does not flex the walls or tops of storage buildings and sheds.
There are a number of cleaners for wood including Murphy’s Oil Soap, Scott’s Liquid Gold, Restorz-It Wood Cleaner, Orange GLO Wood Cleaner and many others. These can be found in hardware and home stores. Select the product based on the type of cleaning required.

IS THE PRODUCT LOCKABLE? WHAT KIND OF LOCK DO I USE?
Buildings and sheds can be locked with a padlock. The instructions will state the correct size. Other products may have a method locking. Review the product description if locking is a requirement.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SNOW LOAD FOR SUNCAST PRODUCTS?
Snow should be removed when 8 or more inches accumulates on the roof.
Debris should be removed as a part of regular maintenance.
The roof of any model shed or building is not designed for storage. All load strength suggestions assume proper assembly on a solid and level foundation as described in the Owner’s Manual.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM WIND LOAD FOR SUNCAST PRODUCTS?
Modular Buildings (A01 and B52 Series) 65 mph
Assembly and lab tested Garden Sheds (GS Series) 65 mph
Blow Molded Sheds (BMS Series) 65 mph
Assembly and lab tested Gazebos 65 mph
All load strength suggestions assume proper assembly on a solid and level foundation as described in the Owner’s Manual.
WHAT ARE THE FLOOR LOAD CAPACITIES OF BUILDINGS AND SHEDS?
Storage Building and Garden Sheds have been engineered to have a floor strong enough to hold typical lawn equipment such as lawn mowers, riding mowers, garden tractors and snow blowers.
It is important that the load is evenly distributed. Adding support such as 1/4″ or 3/8″ plywood to help distribute weight will allow heavier items to be stored. Other conditions such as foundation and weight distribution can affect the floor loading capacity.
HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN BE PLACED ON SHELVES?
Maximum Shelf Load
Slat Wall System
Garage Installation – 100 pounds per slat evenly distributed.
Storage Building Installation – 75 pounds per slat evenly distributed.
Garage installation assumes the slat wall was fastened to wall studs using appropriate hardware.
Loft Shelf - 30 pounds evenly distributed.
Use no more than three loft shelves per storage building.
Corner Shelf - 40 pounds evenly distributed.
Wood Shelf Wood boards 3/4″ to 1″ thick with 2″ x 2″ supports can
hold 100 pounds when evenly distributed.
Plywood can be used to placed in the slots of the GS900.
Particleboard should not be used.
